Marta Matovelle
Circus
performer, creator, teacher, clown (but sometimes), reader, writer and researcher.
She likes to look at the same thing from different angles and to bring some fun
to the encounters.
Art
historian turned circus performer and mover, initially trained in Valencia, now
thriving in Budapest.
Co-founder
of collectives One Thousand Faces and La Prima, she merges her love and studies
of contemporary art with performing arts.
She is
interested in exploring the different possibilities and forms of the trapeze.
Recently
embarked on a solo project set for a residency at La Voliere in France. Creator
of IMPROLAB, an improvised circus performance. Collaborations include
Firebirds, Living Picture, and Albin Warette. Also teaches trapeze and creation
workshops across Europe.
